Complications resulted in a successful night stealth of federal agents….
Background on the Case
I was contacted by a woman and her adult daughter—a married professional in her 30s—who suspected the husband, an ATF special agent, was engaged in an affair with a fellow female agent. The wife had gone out of town, but their shared rural home became the suspected rendezvous point. Unfortunately, the wife had asked her husband a few too many pointed questions, and we believe that tipped our hand. As a result, the target house was lit with floodlights, and both agents were inside—alert, armed, and trained.Using Shadows and Training
Just after 1:00 AM, I began my approach on foot from several blocks away. The rural setting offered natural concealment but little room for error. Wearing dark clothing, I worked my way through the shadows, using terrain, trees, and timing to limit my visibility. At one point, I low-crawled through open ground, eventually arriving no more than 20 feet from the house—every window a potential threat. The techniques came straight from my time in military operations and fugitive investigations, where movement under pressure had to be deliberate and near silent.Mission Success
I reached the target vehicle—parked tight to the house—and installed the GPS tracker. I backed out the same way I came in. The next several days of data, paired with follow-up surveillance, confirmed what the clients feared: repeated overnight stays, coordinated absences, and time together that no official casework could justify. The shadows had done their job—and so had I. 🕵️♂️ Tactical precision and discretion are what set AIP Investigations apart — especially when the stakes are this high.
